The CECR has determined 3 proficiency levels all divided in 2 sub-levels, from A1 (great beginner) to C2 (full proficiency).

The council of Europe has made a wonderful tools for teachers and students to find out their level: the self assessment grid.

Please find below the description for the levels B1 and B2 in the listening, reading, spoken (interaction/ production) and writing fields.

Does your skills match one of those description? If not, check the other level grids.
