Why this blog?

The main purpose was to help my students to get some extra motivation by seeing the French culture from an insider point of view with authentic resources. This blog should be taken as a break time between two grammar lessons, you won’t see anything too serious here; I just want to help you to appreciate the culture(s) and the people(s) behind the language.

This blog is here as well to help the parents who are usually not familiar with the French language and quite lost with the administrative / official side (tests, certifications, levels, books to buy…). It’s not easy to find official information about a language you don’t even speak, this is why I have brought here official and simplified texts from the CIEP (the official organization about the French language). 

As well, I do udpate this blog thinking of the people who learn French by themselves and are looking for insider’s content. I am myself a language learner, studying Chinese and Japanese since a couple of years alone with few books and many blogs. It’s difficult to find a website about the language / culture you love held by a native speaker, so I try to put on this blog the content I have always look for as a learner. Hope this can help or at least distract you!

As for the other French teachers who might pass by this blog, I do believe that cooperation and sharing information is the main purpose of the Internet. Feel free to reblog some of the contents here, as many of the content of my blog is taken from other sources.
